Bahrain's "Bob Marley" dies

 　　MANAMA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain's most popular musician and performer Ali Bahar died on Sunday at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.

　　State-run Bahrain news Agency confirmed the death of the singer, with several of his fans posting condolence messages and clips¹ of his popular songs on social networking sites.

　　Hospital sources said the singer was on ventilator with severe lung infection and slipped in coma² on Sunday morning.

　　Known as the "Bob Marley of Gulf³", Bahar recently released his new album and was part of Al Ekhwa (Brothers) band.

　　A singer, guitarist with strong influence from pop and reggae, the band holds the highest album selling record in Bahrain's music history.
