        CARACAS, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced Friday that he was preparing the country for a new round of socialist¹ Bolivarian Revolution to improve food supply.

　　Maduro asked Food Minister Felix Osorio to devise a new plan to expand the country's network of food distribution.

　　"I guarantee the resources, (you) present the plan, the logistics, the deployment," said Maduro when presiding over the inauguration² of a mass transit³ bus system in Guarenas in northern Miranda state.

　　These measures are part of a new stage in the socialist Bolivarian Revolution that will seek to boost food supply, said Maduro.

　　Maduro, who came to power with a slight majority and rules over a divided Venezuela, said the right-wing opposition⁴ has been waging psychological warfare⁵ since he won the presidency⁶ more than five months ago.

　　"They underestimate me because I am a man of the people. They had decreed that October was the month of collapse⁷, they think they can rule this country, to privatize healthcare, oil and the education of our children, but the people would not let them do that," said Maduro.
