[00:08.86]A boy invited a girl to have coffee with him at a party.

[00:12.80]He was too nervous to say anything, and she felt uncomfortable.

[00:17.18]Suddenly he asked the waiter:“would you please give me some salt?

[00:24.50]She asked him curiously:“Why do you have this hobby?”

[00:39.28]I miss my parents who are still living there.”

[00:42.01]While saying that, tears filled his eyes.

[00:47.16]Then she also started to speak, spoke² about her faraway hometown,

[00:54.48]That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

[01:30.70]This was the only lie I said to you—the salty coffee.

[01:35.29]I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, 

[01:37.92]but I was too afraid to do that,

[01:39.99]as I have promised not to lie to you for anything.

[01:42.84]Now I’m dying⁴, I’m afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth:

[01:47.98]I don’t like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.

[01:52.58]But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life!

[01:56.74]Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you.

[02:00.89]Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life.

[02:05.06]If I can live for a second time, 

[02:07.96]I still want to know you and have you for my whole life,

[02:11.84]even though I have to drink the salty coffee again.”

[02:15.23]Her tears made the letter totally wet.

[02:19.06]Some day, someone asked her:“What’s the taste of salty coffee?” 

[02:24.37]“It’s sweet.” She replied.
