Lesson 38 Nobody Answered the Phone

Jay and Rita are brother and sister.
Rita: Hi, Jay, where did¹ you go last night?
Jay : I stayed home.
Rita: But I called you many times. Nobody answered the phone.
Jay : That's impossible².
Rita: Oh! Mom probably³ forgot⁴ to pay⁵ the phone  bill⁶ again.

杰伊：我待在家里。

杰伊：不可能。

1 did

2 impossible   

adj.不可能的，不容易的，令人无法忍受的

参考例句：

参考例句：
