Emergency talks will be held today about the swine flu outbreak at a piggery in New South Wales. It's the first human-to-pig transmission of the H1N1 virus in Australia. State and federal representatives from the health and agriculture sectors² will attend the meeting in Sydney.

Two more major banks have joined the National Australia Bank in reducing overdrawn³ fees. From October, Westpac and St George Banks will reduce their charges on old credit cards and savings⁴ accounts to nine dollars.

Sydney radios the Kyle and Jackie O show is off air. It follows complaints about a segment last week that resulted in a teenage girl revealing she had been sexually abused. And Australia will have to pull out all the stocks to avoid another Ashes Test defeat. The visitors trail England by 25 runs in their second innings heading into the final day at Edgbaston.

And in swimming, Australia has won four bronze medals on the final night of the World Championships.
