The White House says the leaking of confidential¹ military documents poses a threat to national security. Those documents published on whistleblower site Wikileaks suggest Pakistani authorities helped the Taliban plan attacks on NATO. Pakistan's rejected claims that its intelligence services actively² supported Taliban militants³ in Afghanistan.

The Federal Opposition⁴ will hold talks with Nauru today about housing asylum⁵ seekers on the island. Deputy leader Julie Bishop⁶ and immigration spokesman Scott Morrison will meet Nauru's Foreign Minister Kieren Keke in Brisbane.
