 And a cloud band stretching from the tropics to the southeast in a trough is causing widespread rainfall and a few thunderstorms. Patchy low cloud over the Queensland coast in onshore winds is causing scattered¹ showers. 

 

In Queensland, showers and thunderstorms will be widespread over the north and west. There will be isolated² showers elsewhere.

 

Isolated thunderstorms will develop across most of New South Wales. Heavy falls are expected west of the Divide. 

 

It will be rainy in Victoria's east with isolated afternoon thunderstorms, some scattered showers and drizzle³ everywhere else.
