 In business, gold has fallen to a six weeks’ low below 1490 US dollars an ounce partly of Greece’s approved austerity package. The drop was also driven by falling oil prices and gains in the US dollar against a number of other currencies.

The Nikkei is trading higher. In the United States, stocks made gains for a fixed⁷ straight session recording⁸ their best week in nearly a year. The Dow was up about 168 points. And the Aussie dollar is buying around 108 US cents.
