 The weather satellite picture shows patchy cloud remains¹ about eastern New South Wales as a Tasman low directs fresh southerly through the state, triggering isolated² showers. Low cloud over southeast Australia in cold southwest winds is causing showers and Alpine³ snow, clear skies elsewhere. 

 

Taking a look around the states. In Queensland, there will be isolated light showers along the far north tropical coast, fine and dry elsewhere. 

 

In New South Wales, isolated showers in the southern inland with snow showers on the Alps and possibly on the higher parts of the central and southern tablelands.  

 

Victoria will see scattered⁴ showers over southern and mountain districts with local hail in east and snow falls about 1,200 metres. 

 

In Tasmania, scattered showers about western, central and southern areas with isolated showers about the east. 

 

Isolated showers through the South Australia, about the southern coast extending across the agriculture area, and far south of the pastoral and Flinders Districts.  

 

In WA, there will be isolated showers in areas and drizzle⁵ on the Eucla coast, mostly during the morning. And in the Northern Territory, fine, apart from isolated and clearing showers near the northwest coast in the morning. 

 

And taking a look around the capitals. Dry, windy day in Brisbane, partly cloudy in Sydney, a few showers in Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide. A late shower for Canberra. Fine, elsewhere.
