 A trough stretching from the nation's interior¹ to southeast NSW is triggering² showers, onshore winds are causing showers over eastern Queesland. And a trough over northern WA and the Northern Territory is causing a few thunderstorms.

Showers over the northern tropics³ and hot in the west.

 

NSW can expect isolated⁴ showers on the far north coast, warm in the east and hot in the west with isolated storms.

 

In Victoria, it will be very warm in the north with isolated storms, also warm in the state's south, but generally dry and cooler near the coast.

 

It will be mild to warm in Tasmania before a cooler gusty⁵ change, showers will spread east.

 

It will be a bit cooler and cloudy across South Australia's south, hot in the north with isolated storms.

 

Mostly sunny in western Australia's southwest, hot in the north, with thunderstorms inland.

 

And there'll be showers and storms over most of Northern Territory, except the far east, hot throughout.

 

And looking ahead to tomorrow, and it will be mostly sunny in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Late thundery in Sydney, Canberra and Darwin. And showers are clearing in Melbourne and Hobart.
