 The chief executive officer of Malaysian Airlines says the firm will become an entirely¹ new company. Christoph Mueller took the helm in May and said earlier this month the Airlines was technically² bankcrupt and announced restructuring plan involving 6000 job cuts. Mr. Mueller said the Airlines is expected no further bad news and it is working to become more efficient in order to cut cost further. He also said frequent fly miles as well as any ticket sold by the old Malaysian Airlines will be aunid by the new company.

One of the world's largest banks HSBC's planning to cut almost 25,000 jobs worldwide as part of a major cost cutting exercise. The job cuts mean roughly 10% of the HSBC's global workforce³ will go. Overall the bank will push through annual savings⁴ about 6.5 billion dollars by the end of 2017. Half of the job cuts will come from selling businesses in Brazil and Turkey with HSBC's chief executive saying the bank is instead targeting growth in Asia. 

To the global financial market. The Wall Street ended moderately lower overnight. The Dow was down three points. The NASDAQ ended 0.2% lower. The S&P 500 snapped three days' losses, rising slightly. In London, FTSE continues closing down 0.5%. Checking commidity prices. West Texas Crude is traded at 60 euros a barrel. Tapis Crude is 66 euros a barrel. And the gold is traded at 1176 US dollars an ounce. The Australian dollar is currently buying 77 US cents, 68 euro cents and 50 pence sterling⁵.
