 There is one month, and one day, until the official end of summer in the northern hemisphere. The scientists say worldwide July was the warmest month since 1880 when researchers started recording¹ global temperatures. It is accoding US and Japanese government agencies. How much warmer? In Fahrenheit², scientists say July 15th was 3600 of 1 degree warmer than the previous record set in July 2011. This is a worldwide measurement. Summer in the US alone had pretty normal temperatures. now official July 2015 is the warmest month on record. The biggest driver of this, I think is El Nino. It is always warm when we have El Nino year. It is that warm water that * off the pacific coast to south America. It is getting blown across the Pacific. It is the warm pull there and it keeps the atmosphere warmer because it is so warm. We also have green house gases, at the highest concentration that we have ever measured. So how do you measurement temper? themometors online, satellite measurement, looking down at the eath measuring temperatures remotely, and also ship at sea taking measurement as they cross the globe. And there are other smaller circulations across the globe too, there are patterns across the Pacific northwest, the thing called the Blob out there, an area of warm water that really drastically change the climate for Seattle and P, and for most California in a very big draught³. All of this parts of the warmest month on record.
