【英语对话对对碰】电话难以打通

 约翰在给本打电话，但是总也打不通，怎么回事呢？

Storyline: John was¹ trying to get a hold of Ben, but his line was always busy.....

Sydney: Did² you call Ben last night?

 

John: Yes. I tried to get a hold of him last night, but it was so difficult to get through.

 

Sydney: That's strange³. Maybe he was on the Net⁴.

Sydney: Or he should get call-waiting.
