Luxury Cars Abandoned at Dubai Airport

Expensive cars, such as Corvettes, Ferraris and Porsches are regularly abandoned at airport parking lots in Dubai. The cars belong to expats or citizens who can no longer afford to pay down their car loans. Islamic law is still in place in the United Arab Emirates, and failing to pay one’s debt is a criminal offence that can result in jail time. To avoid getting in trouble with the law, many people flee the country and abandon their cars. The cars collect dust for a few months before they are sold at police auctions³.
