But these aren'tjust any kids. All of their families were impacted² by super storm Sandy. Manyyet still struggling to recover, which is why Murray and Serena Williams, bothdefending US open singles champs, are spending this precious³ pre-tournamenttime leading this clinic.

Until today,nine-year-old Joseph Adriano and his six-year-old brother Charlie had neverpicked up a racket. During Sandy, the Adrianos lost one floor of theirhome in Howard Beach Queens and two cars. Today, tennis is providing an escape.
