One day my parents went to work in the fields. And my little sister and our dog called Ah Fu went with them. While my parents were working, my sister ran along the river and Ah Fu followed her. She found a flower in the water and was trying to pick it when she fell into the river. Ah Fu barked to my parents and then jumped into the water. When my parents ran to the river, they saw Ah Fu carrying my sister to the bank. My father, full of thanks, patted¹ Ah Fu on the head. It was brave Ah Fu who saved my sister. Animals are friends of human beings sometimes. We should cherish² them.
