Lesson 73 Sue’s diary¹: Who is it?
During² the night
Sandy heard a strange³ noise
and woke⁴ up.
He sat⁵ up in bed
and listened.
Then he came⁶ into my room
and told me about it.
We both went downstairs⁷.
The light was⁸ on
in the kitchen.
We were both afraid.
“Who is it?” Sandy asked.
“It’s only me,” a voice⁹ said¹⁰.
Then we saw¹¹ father.
“I was hungry,” father said,
“so I made¹² some sandwiches.
