Suppose you are Mark or Sally. You bought a cell phone in a shop but found it has some problems after using it for a short period of time. Now you write a note of complaint to the manager of the shop including the time and place you bought it and the problems it had and your claim for refund¹ or changing the phone.

Saturday, April 16th

Dear Sir or Madam,

Last week I bought an expensive Nokia cell phone from your shop only to find it does not operate properly. For some reason the connection shuts down in the middle of a conversation accompanied by a loud static noise. I have the receipt dated the 9th of April and it shows the time of purchase at 8 p.m. that evening. As the phone is under warranty² I would like to exchange it for another phone or get a refund.
