1. Iran has reportedly taken a big step toward having nuclear capabilities¹. Its nuclear chief said today Iranian scientists produced 110 tons of uranium gas. The UN has ordered Iran to stop all uranium enrichment programs. But that country’s president says they have the right to develop nuclear fuel.

2. Jurors in the Zacarias Moussaoui case have been shown pictures of the 9 / 11 attack on the Pentagon including burned and blackened victims. The prosecution² is wrapping up its case. Jurors must decide if Moussaoui will be executed or spend the rest of his life in jail for his part in the attacks.

3. The Durham North Carolina prosecutor³ says the investigation⁴ into Duke Lacrosse team is not going away. DNA⁵ evidence taken from 46 players did not match the alleged⁶ raped⁷ victim. But the DA (district attorney) says he doesn’t need DNA evidence to prosecute⁸.

4. Cheers and jeer⁹s greeted Vice¹¹ President Dick Cheney at the home opener of the Washington Nationals. The VP threw out the first pitch of the Nats-Mets game. He wasn’t the good luck charm DC fans had hoped though. The Nats lost 7-1.
