1. For the first time on Wednesday, President Bush confirmed the existence of secret CIA prisons around the world. During a speech at the White House, the president announced the transfer of 14 key al-Qaeda leaders from those prisons to Guantanamo Bay where they will stand trial. 4. NASA mechanics are trying to fix a problem with Space Shuttle Atlantis's electricity system. Wednesday a pump that chills the system was malfunction⁴ing, so authorities scrubbed the launch. If Atlantis doesn't lift off by Friday, the shuttle's trip will be postponed⁶ until October.
