The parents of missing 4-year-old Madeleine McCann have returned home to Britain as suspects in her disappearance¹. Jerry and Kate McCann had remained in Portugal since Madeleine disappeared in May. No charges have been filed and no restrictions² have been placed on their travel.

Crews in Nevada are narrowing their search for adventurer Steve Fossett to a 50-mile-radius around the air strip where he took off last week. Searchers say there has been no sign of the millionaire adventurer.

A Maryland college student has been found alive after being trapped in a ravine for a week following a car accident. A woman spotted³ Julian McCormick lying on the side of the road. He was injured and dehydrated but alert.

Six Italian scuba⁴ divers⁵ are attempting to live underwater for two weeks in a submerged house. The divers want to show it’s possible for humans to colonize⁶ the seabed. If they are successful, it will be the longest dive ever accomplished⁷ by human beings.
