Warren Jeffs has been convicted on two counts of accomplice¹ to rape². A Utah jury says the polygamous sect³ leader is guilty for his role in arranging the marriage of a 14-year-old girl to her 19-year-old cousin. Jeffs faces life in prison.

Michael Vick is being indicted again for staging dogfights. This time the NFL quarterback is facing state charges. He has already pleaded guilty to federal dogfighting charges and has been suspended indefinitely from the National Football League.

Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had his say at the United Nations. He spoke⁵ to the UN General Assembly this afternoon, hours after President Bush was on the same stage. Bush used his speech to call on the world to help Afghanistan and Iraq.
