1.Amid a growing E. coli scare, Topps Meat Company is expanding its recall of frozen hamburger patties. Company announced 22 million pounds of ground beef products are being recalled. Three people have been infected with the bacteria and other possible cases remain under investigation.
2.Duke University President Richard Brodhead has apologized, saying he's sorry for not better supporting the men's lacrosse team last year after three players were falsely accused in a rape scandal. Brodhead adds the university failed to reach out in a time of extraordinary peril.
3.Jenna Bush enters the literary world. Kicking off a two-month-long book tour, the president's daughter delivered a speech and signed copies of her new non-fiction narrative about a teenage mother in Latin America with HIV.
4.Taking baby steps toward health. Scotland aims to curb childhood obesity. A nursery in its capital city installed a gym for these tiny athletes to shed a few pounds. Scotland is among the fattest countries on earth.
