1. The top Democratic presidential candidates are locked in a tight battle for Nevada's delegates. The Clinton and Obama camps pledged to put their recent controversy over race behind them as they headed to Saturday's caucus .The White House's race is wide open for Republican candidates. Huckabee, Romney and McCain's now winning a primary apiece.

2. America's inflation rate is the worst in 17 years. Consumer prices rose by 4.1% for all of last year. The biggest increase was felt when filling up the gas tank or shopping for groceries. Prices for both energy and foods shot up by the largest amount since 1990.

3. Law enforcement officials from Georgia, Florida and North Carolina have met to discuss possible links between Georgia hiker murder suspect Gary Michael Hilton and other cases. Hilton is also a suspect to the death of a woman in North Carolina.

4. Authorities in Tennessee are looking for a trucker who took the door off one of their squad cars over the weekend. The trooper stopped to help a motorist says a passing 18-wheeler hit his car without ever slowing down. The trooper was not hurt.
