1. President Bush has made a surprise farewell visit to Iraq where he signed a new Iraqi-US security agreement. During a news conference with the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, an Iraqi journalist threw two shoes at Bush. He didn't get hit. Bush brushed off the incident, comparing it to political protests back in the States.

2. Illinois attorney general told NBC's "Meet the Press" there's talk embattled Governor Rod Blagojevich may step aside Monday. Lisa Madigan says it is unclear that means Blagojevich would resign. Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday on federal corruption¹ charges.

3. At least four deaths have been blamed on the ice storm that struck the Northeast late last week. Three of the deaths were due to carbon dioxide poisoning from gas-power generators². Hundreds of thousands of people are still without power.

4. Sean Avery's days with the Dallas Stars are done, although the combative³ forward was eligible⁴ to return from a six-game suspension today. The Stars instead announced Avery will not rejoin the team ever.
