2. The mother of Branch Davidian sect² leader David Koresh has been stabbed to death. Koresh’s aunt is charged with the killing³. Bonnie Clark Halderman was found dead at her sister's home in Texas. Koresh was killed in the 1993 standoff in Waco.

3. Rescue teams in Turkey are struggling to save the survivors⁴ of a deadly avalanche⁵. At least 11 hikers died after the avalanche swept them away, dragging some more than 1,600 feet. Officials say one person is hurt, five others escaped unharmed.

4. And Prince Harry⁶ and long-time girlfriend Chelsy Davy are calling it quits. The News of the World reports the breakup happened last week. The couple had been together for about five years.
