Kentucky authorities say twoteen sweethearts suspected in a crime spree of stolen vehicles and pilferedchecks have finally been apprehended¹ in Florida. The modern-day Bonnie andClyde duo began their run from the law and their families earlier this monthwhen they vanished from their small hometown in western Kentucky.

Six convicted drug smugglersincluding five foreigners have been executed by a firing squad² in Indonesia.Clemency³ requests from families and embassy representatives to the Indonesiagovernment were rejected back in December.

Dozens of Palestinianprotesters are throwing eggs and shoes at the convoy⁴ of the visiting CanadianForeign Minister Sunday in a show of defiance⁵ toward Canada’s perceived pro-Israelstance. Foreign Minister John Baird is in the region for five days of meetingwith Israeli and Palestinian officials.

And Pope Francis has ended hisAsia pilgrimage with a final mass in Philippines, appealing for the future ofthe Catholic Church. The Pontiff celebrated⁶ his final mass on the same daydevotees celebrate the feast of the child Jesus or Santo Nino.
