A man is under arrest in New York City, accused of shooting and killing¹ a Muslim imam and his friend outside a mosque². Oscar Morel faces 2 counts of second-degree murder plus weapons charges.

A 7th death is now connected to the massive floods in southern Louisiana. A man's body was found in the Baton³ Rouge⁴ area. More than 20,000 people have been rescued from the torrential floods.

A man is under arrest in northern California charged with starting a fire that destroyed more than 175 homes, businesses and other structures. Damin Pashilk faces 17 counts of arson⁵.

And the National Weather Service says several tornadoes⁶ touched in central Indiana Monday. The twisters and powerful winds knocked down power lines and damaged homes.
