1. President-elect Donald Trump¹ says his plan to overhaul² the nation's health-care law will include insurance for everybody. People who don't want president Obama's health-care reform lost scrapped³, rallied in cities across the country.

2. CIA director John Brennan said in an interview that Trump didn't understand the threats posted by Russia. Trump on Twitter responded by questioning whether Brennan was the leaker of fake news.

3. A cargo⁴ plane crashed in the central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan. Officials say the Turkish airline Boeing-747 hit a residential⁵ area, just outside the main airport, killing⁶ more than two dozens people onboard and on the ground.

4. Severe storms, including at least one confirmed tornado⁷ struck parts of Texas on Thursday. Power outages were reported in several areas.
