 Do you see that tall tree?  你看见那棵高大的树了吗?

Long ago it sprang up from a small nut¹. 很久以前,它从一粒小小的种子成长起来.

Do you know who made² it do so? 你知道是谁让它如此长大吗?

It was³ God⁴, my child. God made the world and all things in it. 是上帝,我的孩子.上帝创造了世界以及万事万物.

He made the sun to light the day, and the moon to shine⁵ at night. 他创造了太阳,带给白天光明；他创造了月亮,在夜间照亮.

God shows that he loves us by all that he has done for us. 上帝通过他为我们所做的一切,表明他爱我们.

Should we not then love him? 难道我们不应该敬爱上帝吗?
