 　　A voice from the sea to the mountains, 一个声音，从海洋滚过山脉，

　　From the mountains again to the sea; 接着，又从山脉荡回海洋，

　　A call from the deep to the fountains, 一声呼唤，发自喷泉深处，

　　“O spirit! be glad and be free.” “哦，精神！愿你快乐自由。”

　　A cry from the floods to the fountains; 一声高喊，从洪水传到喷泉，

　　And the torrents¹ repeat the glad song 激流奔涌，重复欢欣的歌，

　　As they leap from the breast of the mountains, 从大山妈妈怀里，腾飞冲天，

　　“O spirit! be free and be strong.” “哦，精神！愿你自在健壮。”

　　The pine forests thrill with emotion 精神，以横扫姿态飞旋，

　　Of praise, as the spirit sweeps by: 松林，因赞赏深情震颤，

　　With a voice like the murmur² of ocean 犹如大海，低语喃喃，

　　To the soul of the listener they cry. 抵达倾听的魂灵，深处。

　　Oh! sing, human heart, like the fountains, 噢！唱吧，喷泉般纯真的心，

　　With joy reverential and free, 欢歌拥抱，尊卑的快乐自由，

　　Contented³ and calm as the mountains, 如群山峻岭，现世安稳，

　　And deep as the woods and the sea. 如森林大海，深邃富足。
