Topic1 Employment Bluebook Reveals Pros¹ and Cons² of Different Majors

 

According to a college graduates employment Bluebook released by Mycos recently, architecture is the major with the highest employment rate, and finance majors are still the highest-paid. Should potential college students choose majors using these figures as a reference?

 

The same Mycos report is telling us another trend: The percentage of Chinese college graduates choosing to start their own businesses has risen for three consecutive³ years. It also found that the average monthly salary of self-employed graduates is higher than those who are not.

Topic2 Hukou Restriction⁴ Cancelled for Fresh Graduates in Non-1st-Tier Cities

 

Recently, the Ministry⁵ of Education issues a regulation, stipulating⁶ that cities of and under the provincial⁷ capital level should be more welcome to non-local college graduates. This means employers cannot use hukou as a criterion to screen out candidates during recruitment.

Topic3 Canal between Beijing and Tianjin to desalinate⁸ Bohai Seawater

 

A top government think tank has suggested that a canal flowing from Beijing to Tianjin would help ease the capital city's water shortage.

 

The plan has been formulated⁹ by the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences in a bluebook released last week.

 

According to the bluebook, while the canal can help moisturize the capital city, desalinated seawater from the Bohai Sea carried via the canal will ease its water shortage.
