The World Health Organisation¹ said an experimental malaria² vaccine³ will be tested on more than 750,000 children in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi next year. The disease causes more than 400,000 deaths annually⁴. How the vaccine is implemented⁵ will be key to its success: it must be administered four times, with the final dose 18 months after the third.
