　　Temperature is how cold and how hot the outside air is. 温度是指外面空气的冷热程度。

　　It is measured by a thermometer¹. 可用温度计测量。

　　What are the records of the coldest and hottest temperatures on Earth? 世界上最高温和最低温的记录分别是多少？

　　The coldest temperature was -128°F(-89°C) in Antarctica², in 1983.  最低温的记录是1983年南极洲测量的零下128华氏度(相当于零下89摄氏度)。

　　The hottest temperature was 136°F (58°C) in Africa, in 1922.  最高温的记录是1922年非洲测量的136华氏度(相当于58摄氏度)。
