　　Voting is a way of expressing a person's voice. 投票是表达人们心声的一种方式。

　　In democratic¹ countries, important things are decided² by people's votes. 在民主制国家里，重要的事情是由人们投票决定的。

　　In the USA, the president is elected every four years by votes from the people. 在美国，总统每隔四年由选民的投票选举产生。

　　People also elect congressmen every two years. 国会议员也是每隔两年由选民选举产生。

　　These congressmen will represent our voices and ideas. 这些国会议员代表我们的心声和想法。

　　Therefore, voting is a right as well as a duty for the people of a nation. 因此，投票既是一个国家公民的权利，也是他们的义务。
