Welcome to library orientation¹. I know you must be very exhausted² after so many orientation sessions, especially for those international students who may still be suffering from jet lag. So, I am going to offer you the essential points. First of all, location. The library is located right next to the cafeteria. Then, it is open from Monday to Friday at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The library is closed on Sundays and for Christmas and Easter. As undergraduate students, you enjoy full membership of the university, which means you may loan books, reserve books, use library computers etc. The library holds extensive collections of books, journals, maps, microfilms, photographs and sound recordings³ published at home and overseas. Tuition awards will appear on your university enrollment⁵ bill after you have registered for courses. Fellowship stipend⁶ checks may be picked up after University Enrollment. Please consult your award package for detailed⁷ information. If you wish to audit⁸ a course, do not register for the course on line. You should write “auditor” next to the course number on your registration⁹ worksheet and present the form to the Student Services Center. The audited¹⁰ course will appear on your transcript¹¹ with a grade of “R”. You cannot add or drop an auditing¹² status once registration is completed.
