 Here we have one of the greatest predators¹ nature has ever produced and one of the greatest defenders² nature has ever produced sparring of with some truly awesome³ weaponry. There’s nothing like that in the world today. 

 

Triceratops’ most effective defensive⁴ tool is one totally hidden from view, a ball-and-socket joint⁵ which connects its 450-kilograms head to its neck. You could imagine it being able to turn its head very rapidly, very quickly one direction or another. 

 

Rhino⁷ can’t do that—almost the fencing with your horns that Triceratops could do.
