鲁尼宣布2018年退出国家队 盼世界杯夺冠

 　　England captain Wayne Rooney said last Tuesday he will end his England career after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

　　英格兰足球队队长韦恩·鲁尼上周二表示，自己将在2018年俄罗斯世界杯后退出英格兰队。

　　The 30-year-old Manchester United striker told reporters: "Come Russia I feel that will be the time to say goodbye to international football. My mind is made up."

　　这位现年30岁的曼彻斯特联队前锋向记者表示："我觉得俄罗斯世界杯举办之际将是我告别国际足坛之时，我已下定决心。"

　　Rooney, who has scored 53 goals in 115 England appearances, said, "I started playing professional football when I was 16, and started playing internationals when I was 17. Fifteen years is a lot."

　　鲁尼曾代表英格兰队出场115次，打进53球。鲁尼说："我从16岁开始踢职业足球，17岁开始参加国际赛事。15年够久了。"

　　"Russia will be my last opportunity to do anything with England so I'm going to try to enjoy these two years and hopefully I can end my time with England on a high," he added.

　　鲁尼还称："俄罗斯世界杯将是我为英格兰队效力的最后机会，所以我会努力享受这两年，并且希望我能以英格兰夺冠结束自己的国家队生涯。"

　　Captain since August 2014, Rooney is also England's record goal-scorer with 53 goals.

　　But in six major tournament appearances with England, he has never gone further than the quarter-finals.
