【简明语法】4.10 可修饰比较级的词

 

1）a bit¹, a little, rather², much, far, by far, many, a lot, lots, a great deal³, any, still, even等

2）还可以用表示倍数的词或度量名词作修饰语。

3）以上词(除by far)外，必须置于比较级形容词或副词的前面。

典型例题:　　　
1）　---- Are you feeling⁴ ____?　
　　 ---- Yes，I'm fine now.
　A. any well　B. any better　C. quite good
　D. quite better　　
　答案：B. any 可修饰比较级，quite修饰原级，well的比较级为better.

2）The experiment⁵ was____ easier than we had⁶ expected⁷.　
　 A.　more　 B.　much more　　 C.　much　　
　 D.　more much
答案：C.　much可修饰比较级，因此B，C都说得通，但easier本身已是比较级，不需more，因此C为正确答案。

3）If there were no examinations⁸, we should have ___ at school.　
A. the happiest time　　B. a more happier time　
C. much happiest time　 D.　a much happier time
答案：D。

1 bit   

n.一点儿，少量；钻头；马嚼子；辅币，位，比特(二进位制信息单位)；v.控制

参考例句：

• I'm just going out for a bit.我正打算出去一会儿。
• When did you change the bit?什么时候换的钻头？

2 rather   

adv.宁愿，宁可；相当

参考例句：

• I would rather go out tonight,if you don't mind. 如果你不介意的话，我宁愿今晚出去。
• This book is rather too easy for this boy.这本书对于这个孩子来说太简单。

3 deal   

n.交易，协定，份量；v.(dealt,dealt[delt])处理，应付，分配

参考例句：

• Be careful. She is very difficult to deal with.可得当心，她很难对付。
• Deal with a man as he deals with you.以其人之道，还治其人之身。

4 feeling   

n.感觉，知觉，感情

参考例句：

• I am feeling better now.我现在觉得好些了。
• I'm feeling kind of tired.我感到有点累。

5 experiment   

n.实验，试验，尝试；v.实验，尝试

参考例句：

• We decided to begin the experiment in the evening.我们决定晚上开始那个实验。
• Why did he do that experiment once again?为什么他再次做那个实验？

6 had   

vbl.have的过去式和过去分词；conj.有

参考例句：

• I just had a good idea!我有个好主意！
• The boy had a small branch of a tree in his hand.这个男孩手上拿一条小树枝。

7 expected   

adj.（用作定语）预期要发生的，期待中的v.期望( expect的过去式和过去分词 )；预料；要求；认为（某事）会发生

参考例句：

• The company has a strict dress code—all male employees are expected to wear suits. 公司有严格的着装规定—所有男职员都要穿西服。
• The bargain prices are expected to entice customers away from other stores. 低廉的价格意在把顾客从其他商店吸引过来。

8 examinations   

n.检查( examination的名词复数 )；考试；考查；试题
