The world's smallest one-man helicopter will soon take flight in the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, who is credited with having first thought of a vertical-flight machine, its developer said.

The 75-kilogram helicopter will make a demonstration flight in the city of Vinci, near Florence, on May 25, according to Japanese developer Gennai Yanagisawa, 75.

"Since the concept of our helicopter came from Italy, I always wanted to take a flight in the birthplace of da Vinci," Yanagisawa said.

"I feel like I'm greeting an ancestor. I hope da Vinci would be pleased," Yanagisawa told reporters.

Yanagisawa said he went to Vinci in February and received the blessing of Mayor Dario Parrini.

The helicopter, named GEN H-4, has a set of two rotors turning in opposite directions and can fly at a maximum speed of 50 kilometres (31 miles) per hour.

Guinness World Records in February recognized it as the world's smallest helicopter that can carry a person.

Renaissance genius da Vinci was born in Vinci in 1452 and spent the first several years of his life there.

His sketch, dated in 1493 and discovered in the 19th century, shows a vertical flight machine. As in the drawing, the GEN H-4 has no tail.

Yanagisawa runs a company in Matsumoto, north of Tokyo, selling the helicopter. He has sold five units in Japan and two to US customers.

The current model is priced at six million yen (58,250 dollars).

In order to experience everlasting love in life, you ought to first figure out what is missing in your life and then fill in the gaps. People fall in and out of love because they expect their lovers to be everything to them and do everything for them. They then become dissatisfied when the partner fails to meet all their requirements. If you have a dream of achieving everlasting love you better create your very own life crowned by hobbies, interests and beneficial passions. This makes you a full lover when you enjoy a complete, interesting life on your own. Create a world of your own. On your to-do-list add forgiveness. It is always healthy to forgive while you can, disappointments and sadness is a part of life.

Some people find it hard to forgive their partners especially if they happened to catch them cheating on them. Seek professional help from a marriage and relationship counselor. This is an important move towards search for everlasting love. Most buried resentments are the cause to failed marriages and broken relationships. At one time they resurface and blow the present things out of proportion. To find a smooth sail in your love life you have to learn to forgive and move on with a clean slate. Accept changes when they arrive instead of fighting the reality. In life change is inevitable. At one time you will be loved, dumped, married, you will have children, become sick and die. You should acknowledge the happenings in life and move through them strongly. No matter how settled you might be it is good to know that things can change in an instant.

Always accept the unexpected. Always find Happiness in what you have and be grateful to own what you have. It is a great secret to everlasting love. Despite the greatest fear and uncertainties of the unknown, when the inevitable things happen you will look back on the good old times and wish that you had been more grateful when things were more colorful. To enjoy your love life you should give thanks every moment and learn to appreciate the small problems we experience because unknown to us they can get worse and some time they probably will. To experience how it feels to have everlasting love, create time for each other as lovers. Many people who are unhappy keep on postponing time to be together. People get caught up in the many and demanding daily activities and forget to get time to live for today.

It happens to me and you. There will always be more laundry, more house chores and more errands to be carried out. It is a routine where we retire to bed when we are very exhausted late at night only to awake and follow the same routine again the next day. To live life to the fullest stop at some point and take time for yourself and for each other too. Today might be the only gift you have in life so live like there is no tomorrow. The precious moments we reckon in life are achieved by creating time for them against the much pressure of work. Create such short and fleeting moments everyday to enjoy everlasting love.

想笑就笑-The Stories Are Still in Them(故事还在里面)

During a visit to my mother' s home, I joined her in the living room to talk, read and watch television. Facing a bookcase that has been in the same spot since I was a child, I let my eyes wander over the familiar volumes, many of which now have faded covers and frayed bindings.

"These books look so sad," I remarked. "Maybe we should go through them and toss some."

My mother stood up and went over to the shelves. She took down several books, turned a few pages and replaced them. Then she returned to her chair and quietly said, 'They are just fine. The stories are still in them.

Steal What?

This story took place several years ago, when our boys were about eight years old. It was the first game of the season, and the first game in which the boys began pitching. I went out to discuss ground rules with the umpire and realized that is was also the first year that the boys could steal bases. Unfortunately, we had not gone over this in practice. So I hurried back to the dugout, gathered my players and proceeded to go over the rules. As I got to the subject of stealing bases, I announced enthusiastically, "And this year we get to steal!" The news caused the boys to erupt into yelling and cheering. Their response left me thinking positively that this might all work out okay after all. Then the cheers died down, and as our team was about to take the field, one player loudly exclaimed, "Steal what?!" I let out a groan as I realized that the question had come from my son!

Terra Cotta Warriors

Xi'an, once the capital of eleven Chinese dynasties, is famous throughout the world for life-sized terra-cotta warriors and horses. They have won fame as one of the greatest archaeological finds of this century. Back in 1974, while digging a well to fight drought, some farmers from Lintong county, about thirty kilometers east of Xi'an, unearthed some brown pottery fragments, which led to the great discovery of the executed terra-cotta legions as an exterior section of the mausoleum, of Qin Shi Huang or First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty (255-210B. C.)

Details of Qin Shi Huang's tomb can be traced in The Historical Records (compiled by Sima Qian) and legends about it have been widespread. However, for technical reasons, the major part of the tomb remains unexcavated today with its mound still standing 76 meters high against the slopes of Mt. Lishan and facing the Huishui River.

After 20 years of careful excavation three underground vaults officially opened to the public in 1979, 1989, and 1994 respectively, displaying thousands of terra-cotta warriors, horses and chariots, all arranged in battle formations.

Vault 1, built with earth and timber, measures 210 meters long, 60 meters wide and 4.6 to 6.5 meters high. In this area of 12, 600 square meters, six thousand life-sized warriors and horses of terra-cotta were found in rectangular battle formation. The troops were of a fairly uniform height of 1.8 meters. They wear helmets and armor and carry real bows and arrows, swords, lances, javelins and crossbows in their hands. Each chariot, made of wood, is drawn by a team of four horses, 1. 5 meters in height. Three rows of infantrymen make up the vanguard of the formation, and these are followed by the main body of the army, 38 rows of troops. There are also flank columns and rearguards. The array breathes the power of Qin Shi Huang's army.

Vault 2 is approximately one half vault I in size, housing nearly a thousand pottery warriors. Compared with Vault 1, these warriors are of a larger variety and arranged in more complex battle array. Unlike Vault 1, the war chariots and infantrymen are arranged separately in four square formations which are linked to one another in a polygon. Again, however, the warriors carry real weapons. The projecting part of the polygon consists of archers, either standing or kneeling, with crossbows or handbows and quivers and so appears to be the vanguard of the phalanx.

The archers are followed by a unit of cavalrymen to the left and one of chariots to the right, forming the two wings of the phalanx. Infantrymen and war chariots bring up the rear. Each chariot drawn by four horses has1l driver and two assistants, one on either side. The charioteers are armored and carry spears, swords and crossbows, Indicating that they could engage in long-range battles, short-range fighting and hand-to-hand combat. All the cavalrymen carry crossbows, a sign that shooting on horseback was a common practice in the army at that time.

From among the chariots a robust and unusually tall figure at 1. 95 meters has been unearthed. His armor is interlinked and overlapped with finer metal pieces than that of the common soldiers, and he is believed to be a high-ranking commander of the 1egion.

Vault 3 is a modest building more resembling a gallery. It has 69 pottery warriors with defensive weapons and a wooden chariot pulled by four magnificent horses. The structure of the gallery and the line-up of the soldiers suggest that this was likely the headquarters of the troops of Vault 1 and 2.

However, the commander is missing. Many archaeologists believe that since the underground army represents the emperor's garrison under his direct command, no marshal was necessary.

Altogether ten thousand pieces of actual weaponry have been unearthed from the three vaults, including arrow-heads, swords, spears and halberds. Two long-handled swords dug out recently are still sharp and gleaming despite their burial for more than two thousand years. Some bronze arrow-heads from Vault 2 are 41 cm in length and 100 grams in weight. They are the biggest bronze weapons excavated in China. Important to the study of Qin technology was the discovery of bronze arrow-heads and swords treated with a preservative that has prevented erosion for 22 centuries. Chemical analysis revealed the sword to have been cast of an alloy of copper, tin and various other elements, including nickel, magnesium, and cobalt. The arrow-heads which contain 7.71 percent lead are considered by archaeologists to be the world's most poisonous.

Experts expect future discoveries to unearth even more amazing art treasures. But they warn that it may require the efforts of one or two generations to recover the entire tomb complex of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

The three vaults are well preserved in three modern constructions, each with an arched dome and a corridor along the side of the vault so that visitors may overlook the restored figures of warriors, horses and chariots in their original formations. Vault 2 is equipped with devices for regulating temperature, lighting and air humidity.

The theory of yin-yang is a perspective and methodology originated in ancient China with the unity of opposites being its central premise. Yin-Yang is the generalization of the two opposite aspects of things or phenomena which are interrelated in the natural worlds. Yin and yang represent not only the two inter-opposite things or forces, but also the two inter-opposite aspects existing within one object.

Two requirements must be met when we describe the unity of opposites in terms of yin-yang: relativity, the interrelationship between the opposites, and property stipulation, the rules defining the properties of Yin-Yang.

Relativity refers to the fact that things or phenomena must belong to the same unity and be interrelated with each other. For example, water and fire are different states and phenomena of material existence in the nature. They are interrelated and inter-opposed. Water is cold in nature and flows downward while fire is hot and flames upward. So water pertains to yin and fire to yang. In fact, yin and yang in the theory are just an abstract conception of properties. They are not the actually uninterrelated objects themselves.

The property stipulation means that yin or yang are used to both describe the two opposite aspects in the same unity and represent the certain properties of the two opposing aspects. It means the two naturally interrelated opposite aspects of an object or phenomenon have different properties of their own: yang equal to that of activeness, progressiveness, and firmness and things or phenomena of these properties , and yin that of inactiveness, decline, and softness and things or phenomena of these properties. But the properties of yin and yang possessed by two opposing two aspects should not be defined arbitrarily or inverted randomly because of the properties' relativity. They are determined by such factors as their nature, position, or tendencies.

According to the theory of yin-yang, everything in the natural world is made up of two opposing aspects - yin and yang, and the constant changes of their relations are the root cause of the formation and development of the world. Unity of opposites is the general principles of the development of the material world. TCM holds that yin-yang is both the fundamental law in the natural world and the origin of growth, development, change, and decline.

             Auld Lang Syne

               by Robert Burns

                Chorus

For auld lang syne, my dear,

            For auld lang syne,

           We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

            For auld lang syne!

           Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

            And never brought to mind?

           Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

            And auld lang syne?

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,

            And surely I'll be mine,

And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

            For auld lang syne!

We twa hae run about the braes,

            And pou'd the gowans fine,

           But we've wander'd monie a weary fit,

            Sin' auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl'd in the burn

            Frae morning sun till dine,

But seas between us braid hae roar'd,

            Sin' auld lang syne.

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere,

            And gie's a hand o' thine;

           And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,

            For auld lang syne.

                往昔的时光

           (合唱)为了往昔的时光,老朋友

                为了往昔的时光,

               再干一杯友情的酒,

                为了往昔的时光。

              老朋友哪能遗忘,

               哪能不放在心上?

              老朋友哪能遗忘,

               还有往昔的时光?

              你来痛饮一大杯,

               我也买酒来相陪。

              干一杯友情的酒又何妨?

               为了往昔的时光。

              我们曾遨游山岗,

               到处将野花拜访。

              但以后走上疲惫的旅程,

               逝去了往昔的时光!

              我们曾赤脚 过河流,

               水声笑语里将时间忘。

              如今大海的怒涛把我们隔开,

               逝去了往昔的时光!

              忠实的朋友,伸出你的手,

               让我们握手聚一堂。

              再来痛饮一杯欢乐酒,

               为了往昔的时光I

President Bush Departs for Europe

THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. I'm just about to leave for Europe. I'm looking forward to my trip. I'm looking forward to meeting with our friends and allies. We've got strong relations in Europe, and this trip will help solidify those relations. And we got a lot to talk about.

First, I'm looking forward to talking about the freedom agenda with the European nations. Got a lot of work to do in Afghanistan. The countries I'm going to have committed troops to Afghanistan, and, of course, want to thank them, and remind them there's a lot of work to be done.

I talked to Laura yesterday, who, as you now know, took a trip to Afghanistan. I want to thank her for going. She gave me a good assessment about what she saw. She saw progress, but she also saw there needs to be a lot of work to be done -- there's a lot of work to be done. And so she's going to go to the Paris Conference, along with Secretary Rice, on our behalf to ask nations to contribute to the development of Afghanistan, which will mean they'll be contributing to peace.

Then, of course, we'll be talking about the economy. A lot of Americans are concerned about our economy. I can understand why. Gasoline prices are high; energy prices are high. I do remind them that we have put a stimulus package forward that is expected to help boost the economy. And of course, we'll be monitoring the situation.

We'll remind our friends and allies overseas that we're all too dependent on hydrocarbons. We must work to advance technologies to help us become less dependent on hydrocarbons. I'll also remind them, though, that the United States has an opportunity to help increase the supply of oil on the market, therefore, taking pressure off gasoline for hardworking Americans, and that I've proposed to the Congress that they open up ANWR, open up the Continental Shelf, and give this country a chance to help us through this difficult period by finding more supplies of crude oil, which will take the pressure off the price of gasoline.

These are global issues we'll be discussing. Secretary Paulson will be also discussing issues at the G8 -- the G8 ministers in Japan this week.

As well, I'll talk about our nation's commitment to a strong dollar. A strong dollar is in our nation's interests. It is in the interests of the global economy. Our economy is large and it's open and flexible. Our capital markets are some of the deepest and most liquid. And the long-term health and strong foundation of our economy will shine through and be reflected in currency values.

The U.S. economy has continued to grow in the face of unprecedented challenges. We got to keep our economies flexible; both the U.S. economy and European economies need to be flexible in order to deal with today's challenges.

I'm looking forward to my trip and I'm looking forward to seeing Laura. Thank you.
