BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Giuliana Rancic, 37-year-old E! News and Style Network host, revealed Monday that she has breast cancer after doctors discovered a tumor1 during her latest round of in-vitro fertilization.
Rancic had planned to wait until she was 40 to have a mammogram but said her IVF doctor strongly encouraged her to get one before undergoing fertility treatment because
pregnancy2 can accelerate the spread of any potential cancer.
Having caught the cancer in its early stage, she said her prognosis is good.
The cable host has long documented her struggle to have a baby on her Style Network reality TV show Giuliana and Bill with her husband Bill Rancic, the first

At the end of last season, the pair were going for their third round of IVF after the first ended in a
miscarriage4 and the second failed to work.
Rancic will undergo surgery later this week, followed by six weeks of radiation therapy. Rancic says she will still push to have a baby after undergoing cancer treatment.
