　　The ear is the organ by which a person hears. So, if we figuratively say that "you are all ears," it means¹ that at that moment you are keenly² listening to whatever is being said. It&`&s as if no other part of your body mattered except your ears. This idiom is about three centuries old.

　　耳朵是用来听的器官；所以如果我们象征性地说：I&`&m all ears.我全是耳朵，那么意思就是说你在全神贯注地去听，其他的身体部位已经无关紧要了。这个成语已经有大约三个世纪的历史。
