On the face of it, the economy looks good. Growth is averaging 7% to 8%. Foreign exchange reserves are at an all-time high. Interest rate's coming down. Inflation's under control. But their foreign investors¹ have been slow to come, with the notable exception of China, which is wading² in financing and building massive infrastructure³ projects. Sri Lanka also wants Western money. 

表面上看，经济总体不错。平均增长速度达到了7%-8%，外汇储备也是历史最高，利率也逐渐下降，通胀也在掌控之中。但外国投资者就是迟迟不来，中国是个显著的例外，它已经涉足金融业，建设众多基础设施项目。斯里兰卡也想得到西方的投资。
