 French employees are in a league of their own. They work a 35-hour week. They get six week's paid leave plus general striking¹ rights, and in the past two weeks new rules have been agreed that allow employees to literally² switch off when they leave their office in the evening. So, if you're in Asia or America and hoping to discuss a business venture with your contact in France after their workdays ended, well hey, you'll just have to call back at a more convenient time. C'est la vie.
