want somebody (sth) 想要……
虽然这一表现形式是与表示现在想要的东西的时候使用的 I'd like+名词相类似的表现形式，但是要在更加亲近一些的关系之间使用。I want+名词表示的是“需要……”，“想要……”的意思。在 want 的后面不仅可以加具体名词，而且还可以加类似于 advice、privacy 这样的抽象名词。
例句：
The boss wants you in his office now.
老板想让你现在就去他的办公室。
Do you want some more?
你还想再要一些吗？
Do you want some help with that?
你需要帮助吗？
对话：
A: I want something to drink right now.
