　　be what I wanted 我想要的就是

　　what I want 表示的是“我想要的东西”，what I wanted 表示的是“我曾经想要的东西”，主要是用 what I want ( ed ) ( to ) 的形式来表示“我想要的（曾经想要的）东西是”的意思。Know what I wanted 表示的是“知道我想要的东西”。

　　例句：

　　That's what I wanted to hear!

　　那就是我想听到的！

　　That's actually¹ what I wanted to talk to you about.

　　那就是我想和你说的。

　　Here's what I want to ask you.

　　这就是我想要问你的。
