But I don't think thou wilt¹ be able to at present.  见见他，说起来容易，可要见到他太难了。

I don't know exactly what's the matter with him; but he keeps close inside the house;  船一靠岸，他就回了家，足不出户，我也见不着他了。

a sort of sick, and yet he don't look so. In fact, he ain't sick;  也许他病了吧，也许没有，

doesn't speak much; but, when he does speak, then you may well listen.  他轻易不开口，可一开口就够你受的。你要完全服从于他！

been used to deeper wonders than the waves; fixed² his fiery³ lance in mightier⁴, stranger foes⁵ than whales.  他在海上战斗，用鱼枪对付过比大鲸鱼更可怕的家伙！ 

His lance! aye, the keenest and the surest that out of all our isle⁶!  说到他的鱼枪，那可是他的骄傲！他有百发百中的神功！
