Such a waggish⁷ leering as lurks⁸ in all your horribles! I feel funny. Fa, la! lirra, skirra!  好象在你的一切可怖中就潜伏有一个逗笑的媚眼似的。我觉得好笑。４６!７６,５７６!

What's my juicy little pear at home doing now? Crying its eyes out? 我那个多情的小爱人,这会儿不知道在家里干什么?哭得连眼珠儿都暴出来吗?

Giving a party to the last arrived harpooneers,I dare say, gay as a frigate's pennant⁹, and so am I-fa, la! lirra, skirra!  正在招待刚到埠的标枪手们,我敢说,跟一只快艇的燕尾旗一般鲜艳,我也如此呀。４６!７６,５７６!

Oh We'll drink to-night with hearts as light, To love, as gay and fleeting¹⁰ As bubbles that swim, on the beaker's brim, And break on the lips while meeting. 啊。俺今晚开怀痛饮,快活逍遥去寻欢,如象杯边的浮泡,嘴一凑上就消散。
