目前世界上流行着两大类英语：英国英语(British Eng1ish)和美国英语(American Eng1ish)。在一般人看来英国英语和美国英语区别并不是很大，但二者还是有许多不同。英国英语和美国英语在单词拼法，习惯用语，数字表达，应用文写作等诸多方面都存在差异，甚至同一个词在英美语中会表示不同的概念或是同一概念在英美语中会用不同的词来表达。 英国英语和美国英语之间的区别主要有以下几个方面：
