Pakistan announces cricket schedule for South Africa tour

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Wednesday the schedule of its national team's tour to South Africa starting later this month.
According to the
itinerary1, Pakistan team will play three Test matches, two Twenty20 Internationals and five One-day Internationals (ODIs) during the tour.
The date for team's departure for South Africa was not announced yet but the visitors will start their tour with a four- day match against South African Invitation XI at
Buffalo2 Park on January 25.
Pakistan's two-month long tour will be concluded on March 24 with the fifth and final ODI match at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.
The PCB is yet to announce its team for all three
formats4 of the game for the tour.
Local media reported that the team for South African tour will be
finalized5 after the team's
ongoing6 series against India is concluded.
Pakistan cricket team is currently in India after a gap of five years for two
bilateral7 series comprising of five limited over matches against the hosts.
According to statistics, South African team has upper hand over Pakistan with more victories. Pakistan and South Africa have played 18 Test matches so far. Pakistan won only three and lost eight of them while seven matches went
drawn8.
The teams also encountered 57 times in ODI
format3 cricket and Pakistan was successful in only 18 outings while Protease remained
victorious9 in 38 while one match was not resulted.
